Below you'll find our First Timer FAQs and some helpful tips!
• Anyone 13 years of age or older is welcome to FLY with us. If you’re between 13 and 18, you may register on our site, but need to have your parent or legal guardian fill out THIS FORM before class.
• We provide complimentary cycling shoes which are located in the cubbies – look for the one that corresponds with your bike number. Have your own pair? Our bikes are compatible with SPD and LOOK Delta clips.
Can I come to class without a reservation?
While you certainly can reserve classes on the spot in any of our locations, many of our incredible instructors and time slots tend to fill up in advance. To be sure you get the bike or mat you want in the classes you want to take, we recommend scheduling your workouts on Sunday evenings for the week ahead. Our booking window opens on Sundays at 5:00 pm for the week ahead. Reserving classes is simple: simply log into your account online or on the Flywheel Sports iOS or Android app to reserve.
Can I take my class if I'm pregnant?
We've had many moms-to-be take classes throughout their pregnancy, but please consult your physician beforehand.
What amenities does each studio have?
Each of our studios has a water re-filling station, changing rooms and toiletries.
Are there classes for beginner or advanced timers? Do you have any recommendations for my first class?
If you’re new to Fly, welcome! Our Method class is our signature, metrics-based HIIT ride and is perfect if you’re just starting out. Power and Tempo are more advanced, but they’re open to everyone, regardless of fitness level. Every ride features target resistance levels (Torq) and speed (RPM) for the class, but you decide exactly what's right for you by controlling the technology on your bike. With Precision Training, we recommend moving and lifting weights at a pace that you’re most comfortable. Feel free to speak with our instructors prior to class if you would like to discuss modifications for injury.
How can I participate on the TorqBoard?
You can participate in TorBoard by updating your preferences HERE. Please make sure to click "Yes, I want to participate in the TorqBoard during classes". Creative Torq names are encouraged!
Can my instructor see my performance stats?
Your numbers are your own. Unless you opt in to the TorqBoard during class, only you can see your performance stats. And when you do opt in, the instructor sees your score only when it’s flashed up on the board.
